Rentalspot.com was recently featured in a "Real Estate Tech Roundup" on Property Portal Watch, an online publication that provides news, views, and analysis to the owners and operators of property portal sites around the world.

U.S. vacation rentals software company Trekadoo is now providing its services to rentalspot.com, a free-to-list vacation rentals portalrentalspot.com launched in public beta at the end of last year, and says the new software eliminates the need for home owners and renters to constantly e-mail back and forth in order to rent a property.

“We believe incorporating Trekadoo’s web-based vacation rental management software into our web presence will give our community of vacation home owners and agencies an easy way to accept secure, online rental payments,” said RentalSpot.com’s CTO and Founding Partner Nate Yaconis. “Our Trekadoo partnership is a logical fit that will benefit our growing user base.”

In 2010, Property Portal Watch profiled RentalSpot.com, its growing vacation home rental by owners community, and the beta launch of its free vacation rental portal.

“We developed RentalSpot.com because we are owners of vacation rental properties who believed we should not have to pay $400 or more just to list and advertise our homes on leading vacation home rental websites,” said RentalSpot.com Founder Tobias Dengel. “We understand that owning and maintaining vacation homes is expensive enough without having to pay listing fees. The new beta version of RentalSpot.com will better serve and embrace the growing community of users who appreciate and profit from our free online resource.”

Along with a free-to-list advertising model, Rentalspot.com offers users a map-based search option, along with the ability to collaborate with friends when choosing a listing.
