Our unit 805 at the Maui Kai is a nice, comfortable low key unit which revels in understated comfort. It is a very nicely upgraded one –bedroom apartment with panoramic views of the islands of Lanai and Molokai which rise out of the ocean in front of the screened lanai above the beach. The lanai is nicely done in a blue-grey tile, and the screens can be opened to enjoy the salt air and ocean breezes provided by the glimmering Pacific thirty feet from the building.Wood paneling is in earth tones in the living room, with light brown carpeting and a pale brown sofa bed which can be used as a second bed for guests or extra family members. For the sports fan or reality show aficionado, a fifty inch flat screen TV is provided for special viewing quality. The breakfast table area includes mirrored walls with seating for four. The kitchen is done in blue with white tile and blue-grey counter tops.The bedroom is furnished with a King bed, with a wicker chest of drawers and a smaller flat screen TV. The bathroom is also upgraded nicely. Throughout the unit the mix of some tile and some carpeting has been done well to create an enjoyable ambience of color and texture throughout.Shopping in located conveniently close-by, with both grocery shopping and restaurants available within walking distance. The historical former capital of the Hawaiian Islands, Lahaina, is a ten minute drive south of the Maui Kai and offers night life, restaurants, art galleries and entertainment, daily and nightly. The history of Lahaina should be underscored. Visitors can take daily guided tours of the historical landmarks, or use the map provided by the Lahaina Historical Society to guide themselves through the historic district.Unit 805 offers unparalleled enjoyment.
