Additional Area Information:
If you’ve read more than one profile on this site, you know that I’ve seen nearly every property inside and out. I had the priviledge of actually spending two nights at this gracious one-bedroom cottage, and in doing so, I got the opportunity of experiencing how it is for you guests out there.
This cottage has all the comforts of a home, and privacy and space not found in a hotel or bed & breakfast. The large living room / dining area has vaulted ceilings, fireplace and glass French doors. This room is very spacious and comfortable, and is where I spent the bulk of my time either louging and reading on the couch, or working from one of the tables. The wireless Internet made it effortless. I stayed in the winter, but can imagine opening up the glass doors onto the front lawn to bring the tranquil outdoors in.
The bedroom had everything one would need from appropriate reading lights, to an all-important firm mattress, and extra pillows and blankets in the closets (thank you – I always want a throw for the couch). I also appreciated that almost every room, including the bathroom, had an option of lighting and/or dimmer switches.
The location (just one half a block from the historic Plaza) is beyond convenient, and yet, it’s as quiet as any vineyard setting due to the fact that the cottage itself is located down a private lane on a low-traffic dead-end street. The overall feel of the cottage is warm and intimate, and you immediately get the sense that the owners have thought of everything.
